Our representative will meet you at the Airport hotel and escort you to Lima Airport to board your flight to Puerto Maldonado. Once you arrive and have settled in you will begin to experience the enchantment of the rainforest, as you take a 45-minute boat ride along the Madre de Dios River to arrive at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica lodge. This morning you may visit the Lake Sandoval excursion into the Tambopata National Reserve. Glide in a wooden canoe, across a beautiful, mirror-like oxbow lake that is home to the endangered giant river otter, as well as red howler monkeys, red-bellied macaws, anacondas, side-neck turtles and black caimans. After lunch, consider visit the remarkable Inkaterra Canopy Walkway and Anaconda Walk. Enjoy a trip to Gamitana Creek, located 25 minutes by boat from the lodge. For one and a half hours, explore the rainforest along the banks of a winding, dark-water creek that is home to many piranha, caiman, turtles and birds, until the Sanipanga landing point. Navigate your way back downstream, observing the abundant flora and fauna along the way. You will return to Gamitana Farm to do a short-guided tour to see how local farmers grow fruits and vegetables. After lunch, enjoy the Hacienda Concepcion excursion, with over 200 different plant species, and learn about the uses and benefits of local flora. This is followed by a 30-minute canoe trip to look for turtles, sun grebes, nightjars and exotic herons. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

This morning take a 45-minute return trip by boat on the Madre de Dios River takes you to Puerto Maldonado, where you will visit the Butterfly House. Peru boasts the greatest variety of butterflies in the world, with 3,700 known species. You will then take your flight to Cusco where upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Sacred Valley. Today we will have the opportunity to visit Awanacancha, an Andean textile center that works to maintain the wealth of Incan textile art alive. Here we will learn about the dyeing techniques and instruments used for hundreds of years in the weaving of these famous textiles and perhaps even take some home. Following this, we visit the Pisac archeological complex, formed by a collection of remains of Incan dwellings, temples, and terracing, all of which combine perfectly with the majestic landscape of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Continue on to the Pisac Market, where we will have the chance to interact with the local folk and even barter with the merchants while walking along colorful aisles full of textiles and crafts. Our last stop is at Pablo Seminario’s Ceramic Workshop, where we can observe creations in progress and with luck maybe even meet the own artist Pablo Seminario as he mainly works in his studio year-round. At the end of our visit we will have the opportunity to take a look at the exhibition shop and why not maybe even buy one of their unique pieces. We embark on a journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, to the Maras Saltpans and its seemingly never-ending terraces, where salt extracted from springs is stored. We continue our excursion to admire the Moray terraces, believed to be a former gigantic agricultural laboratory, an astronomical observatory or a place of worship, or maybe all three. Then, we head to the Inca fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo. This site was built just as the Spaniards arrived and evidence of how it was constructed is still visible. We pick up from your hotel early morning and taken to Ollantaytambo station, from where we take a train ride to Chachabamba in Km 104, the starting point of your hike to Machu Picchu. We pass through the Chachabamba archeological remains. After a few hours of walking through the ancient inca steps we arrive at Wiñayhuayna at lunch time, this is an archeological complex which consists of two constructions united by stairways, from where we see some of the terraces used for his agriculture activities. After lunch, we continue our hike to Inti Punku or Sun Gate one of the most important archeological constructions around the Machu Picchu site. From this point we have an amazing view of the citadel and time for resting and taking photos before we hike down to the Machu Picchu entrance where we walk to the hotel and rest for our visit next day. We pick up from your hotel in the morning and taken to Machu Picchu citadel. Much of the wonder of Machu Picchu is how the massive stones could have been hauled the great distances to the site and then be cut with such precision that they fitted together without need for cement, and then remain standing for so long. After the visit, lunch will be served either at Sanctuary Lodge or Aguas Calientes. The afternoon is free to visit the town of Aguas Calientes and in the late afternoon, we take a train ride to Ollantaytambo and then back to Cusco. Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Today we will discover the archaeological capital of South America, a city of amazing cobblestone streets and original Inca walls, the magnificent Cusco. Among the city's most important historical monuments that reveal the influence of different cultures, is the Santo Domingo church built upon the foundations of the Inca Temple Koricancha, an impressive site dedicated to worship the Sun God. From this point, we head to the San Cristobal view point that dominates a privileged view of the city of Cusco, undoubtedly a special and magical place, a must for those photography lovers in search of portraying different angles of the Imperial city. Then, we continue to the Sacsayhuaman Archaeological site or Fortress, a ceremonial compound and magnificent example of Inca military power also offering a panoramic view of the City. Next stop is at the Inca Baths of Tambomachay. Finally, we head to the Main Plaza of Cusco to enjoy a guided tour of the Cathedral, dating from Spanish viceroyalty times, built with great slabs of red granite renaissance style in contrast with the baroque style silverwork of its interior, a true architectural gem. *The Ancient Landmarks City tour does not operate Sundays Meals: Breakfast

Today we enjoy an excursion to southern Cusco to Piquillacta, a large Wari culture archaeological site south of Cusco. Occupied from about 550 to 1100 AD, it was mainly used for ceremonies and was not yet complete when it was abandoned. During pre-Inca times, the city used to be the gateway to the Sacred City of the Incas. We continue through the sacred mountains of the Andes to until you arrive to the very small but special town of Andahuaylillas. The town’s main feature is the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, constructed in the 17th century and later declared a World Heritage site by the UNESCO. Also better known as “the Sistine Chapel of the Americas” due to its decorated polychrome ceiling. Meals: Breakfast

Today you will travel one of the most beautiful routes in the world aboard the Titicaca train. This train has an outdoor observatory wagon, which allows you to enjoy the majestic landscapes accompanied by music and typical dances of the Peruvian highlands. In addition, throughout the trip you can take panoramic photos of the most emblematic Andean landscapes. Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Early in the morning, we have an unforgettable excursion by speedboat in the waters of Lake Titicaca to the unique "floating islands" of the Uros. We continue our journey to the island of Taquile, inhabited by quechua-speaking natives who have developed unique and efficient social systems, as well as weaving techniques by hand, handed down from generation to generation. Upon arrival in Taquile, we have a cultural exchange, learn how the natives of the island weave, interpretation of their pre-Columbian writing system, typical lunch in one of the restaurants. After lunch, we go through traditional paths of the island, with a direction to a port. Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
